This page provides access to the boot options.
Note: boot options
available in Windows 95/98/Me only.
Enable - select this check box to enable boot options.
Disable boot delay - disables Starting Windows message appearance on the screen before Windows continues to boot. If this option is enabled, then users will not be able to press the F8 key when Starting Windows appears to invoke the Startup menu.
Disable boot keys - select this check box to disable the
use of the function key boot options (that is, F4,
F5, F6, and F8) during the boot process.
Note: this option
overrides the use of Disable boot delay option.
Disable multi-boot - this option disables the multi-boot option. (For example, it will be impossible to boot the previous operating system.) This option disables the F4 and F8 keys to boot the previous operating system.
Disable boot menu - select this check box to disable the
Startup menu appearance.
Note: it will be
possible to invoke the Startup menu by pressing F8 during
the boot process.
Disable Ctrl+C during boot - by default, Windows lets
anyone press the Ctrl+C keys during its initial booting
phase and stop the booting. If the user is knowledgeable enough
about the MS-DOS mode, s/he can then examine the contents of all
your drives and folders, since WinLock does not protect them in the
MS-DOS mode. Select this check box to disable the Ctrl+C
keys in the MS-DOS mode.
Note: this setting
also disables Ctrl+C for all programs running in the MS-DOS
mode.
Disable safe mode - this option disables the ability to start Windows in safe mode.
Disable boot to a command prompt - select this check box to prevent loading in command line mode.
Lock system files - if this option is enabled, it will be unable to modify or replace system files that related to the boot process.
