Maple allows to create links that are references to other nodes, Web pages,
files, etc. All links in text are automatically identified and highlighted (if
a corresponding feature is enabled in options).
Inserting links to nodes
Select the node you want to link to, and copy the link address of that node with Copy Link command from tree popup menu or Tree menu.
Select document where you want insert this link and click Link to Node in Insert/Link menu.
Inserting links to files
In Insert/Link menu, select Link to File.
Choose a file name and click Open.
Tip: you can select multiple
files by clicking on a file names while holding Ctrl key.
Hyperlinks
Maple supports the following hyperlinks:
General hyperlink activates Web addresses, opens documents and launches external programs.
E-mail address link activates your default e-mail program, opens a new e-mail message and inserts the e-mail address in the Send To box.
Phone number link dials the phone number. Note that your phone should be connected to your modem. Dialer properties can be configured in Preferences dialog.
Pop-up text is a window that pops-up on top of Maple.

It is automatically sized to fit the text in it. A pop-up will stay on top of a document. It will remain on top until you remove it by clicking on it. Pop-ups are generally used for definitions, tips and notes or other text that might further explain a word or some text. You don't want to have this text as a part of the main document but pop it up when further clarification is warranted.
Inserting hyperlinks
In Insert/Link menu, select Hyperlink.
Select hyperlink type in Type.
Enter hyperlink title in Title and address in Link. For example, if you want to create link to e-mail address, select E-mail address in Type and type someone@somedomain.com in Title and Link.
To insert link to a file, click Browse button.
Tip: to create link with
command line parameters, use the following template: "command"parameters.
For example: "paint.exe"c:\picture1.bmp
Hyperlink modificaion
To modify hyperlink address and title, right-click hyperlink and select Modify Link.
Tip: you can follow a links
simply by clicking left mouse button on it.
