Files
Default tree - you can specify Maple tree file (*.mpl) you want to load automatically on Maple startup.
Temporary folder - select folder for storing temporary information.
Recent files list - use this option to set the maximum number of files that the File menu displays in the Recent files list.
Autosave option is provided to automatically save the active tree at the desired interval. The interval is configurable in minutes.
Automatically save modified trees only - select this check box to enable Autosave option to save modified files only.
Database
Protect exported branches - when this check box is selected and opened tree is protected by the password, Export Branch command will protect exported branch by the same password.
Encrypt protected tree - select this check box to encrypt password-protected branches.
Compact trees automatically - when this check box is selected, Maple compacts the tree automatically each time you close the tree.
Note: this option is always enabled for encrypted trees.
Data compression - specifies the compression level for newly created trees. Compression dramatically reduces file size, but increases the time of saving tree files.
Tip: to change the compression level of existing tree use File/Compact command after selecting a new compression level.
Print
Print page numbers - select this check box to print page numbers.
Print total number of pages - select this check box to print number of pages in the current document along with a page numbers.
Print node names - select this check box to insert node name before each document when printing tree branch.
Insert page break between documents - select this check box to print each document on a new page when printing tree branch.
Font - click this button to select the font to print node names.
Note: these options also affect Export Flat File command.
Number nodes - select this check box if you want to number the tree nodes when printing or saving tree outline.
Number root node - select this check box if you want to number the root node.
Note: this option enabled
only when Number nodes check box is checked.
Prompts
Delete node confirmation - select this check box if you want to be prompted when tree node is about to be deleted.
Delete bookmark confirmation - select this check box if you want to be prompted when bookmark is about to be deleted.
Convert confirmation - select this check box if you want to be prompted when document is about to be converted from OEM to ANSI and vice versa.
Delete stored branch confirmation - select this check box if you want to be prompted when branch, that was stored by Copy Branch command is about to be deleted.
Compact tree confirmation - select this check box if you want to be prompted when tree is about to be compacted.
Sound
Add node and Delete node sounds are audio tones played when you add or remove tree node.
Switch node sound played when you are switching between tree nodes.
Collapse branch and Expand branch sounds played when you are collapsing or expanding tree branch.
Dialer
Show call status dialog - select this check box if you want to display call status dialog when dialog a number.
Dial prefix - if all your dial numbers require the same prefix, you can program Maple to dial it for you. For example, if you work in an office where you always need to enter 0 to dial out before you can dial the number, enter 0 in dial prefix. If the telephone system requires you to pause within or after the prefix, enter W character where necessary, e.g. "0W5434564" inserts a pause between dialling 0 and 5434564.
Dialing mode selects touch-tone or pulse/rotary dialing mode. Most phone lines support tone dialing mode.
