Menus and toolbars

A menu displays a list of commands. Some of these commands have images next to them so you can quickly associate the command with the image. Most menus are located on the menu bar, which is the toolbar at the top of the screen. Toolbars can contain buttons, menus, or a combination of both.

  1. Menu bar.
  2. Menu command.
  3. Toolbar.
  4. Button.

Standard toolbar

The buttons on the Standard toolbar are shortcuts for common file management tasks, such as creating or saving a file. You can see a description of each toolbar icon by placing your mouse over it.

Format toolbar

The buttons on the Format toolbar change the format of text, such as making text bold or underlined. To format text, select it, and then click the appropriate button on the Format toolbar.

Status bar

The Status bar shows general information about the current tree and provides additional information about the buttons and commands in Maple.
