Version 6.0 Access violation - Show Titles in Caption

I consistantly get an access violation when tying to open an existing file if the
"Show titles in the caption" preference is set. Unchecking the preference allows the file to open. I am using XP pro with a custom theme.
Not a major issue, now that I know what it is. It was a bear when I could not open my default file.
