Images in a tree

I've created a tree with 21 siblings under a root. There are pictures in some of the entries to a total of 20 images.

The total size of the file is huge. The .MPL is 760MB. When I export the file to RTF format it contains all the pictures but is only 12MB.

Does Maple handle images extremely badly or a I doing something wrong? I've just been dragging and dropping images of 900 * 700 size or smaller.

We will improve image compression in the next update of Maple. So far, you can use Database compression option under preferences to reduce the filesize.

Thanks

File compression makes a huge difference on actually saved faster than with no fie compression.

Fixed in version 8.31 To keep the small file size, insert jpg and png images, but not bmp.
