Re: MaplePro v7.1 odd behavior at program launch

It launched on the 2nd PC without the error. Looks like the "-usb" flag is case sensitive. Thanks.

Re: MaplePro v7.1 odd behavior at program launch

Looks like this may have been my problem. I created a shortcut on my flash drive with "-usb" and MaplePro launched without issue. I went back to check my link in PStart and I had entered "-USB" as a command line option instead of "-usb." Doh! I changed it and MaplePro n...

Feature Request-Set file locations via environment variables

When you plug a USB flash drive into a PC, Windows assigns the identifying drive letter dynamically based on available drive letters; drive E: on one PC might be drive J: on another, or even on the same PC at a different time. This makes it impossible to use fixed drive letters in the default tree a...

MaplePro v7.1 odd behavior at program launch

I just upgraded to v7.1 and discovered this little oddity. First of all, I run Maple Professional almost exclusively from a USB flash drive. I use PStart, a menuing application, and have "-usb" plugged into the command line options field. In Maple, Under Tools->Preferences->Files, I have t...

I'm running from a USB flash drive with a temp directory set on that drive. I currently have maple0.tmp - maple4.tmp in that temp directory from usage over the past couple of days. I guess I'll delete them then play around with new/empty trees and see what happens.

Auto-delete maplex.tmp files

Is it possible to have Maple clear the temp directory on exit?

I've played around with it a little more. It doesn't always crash the first time I clear then add; I was able to clear/add 5 times at one point before it crashed on number 6. Same behavior with a new database. Same behavior running from USB or PC. It always gives the same two addresses. Not a big de...

Well. That does it then...transferred and edited couple of encrypted files and things seem to be going swimmingly. Paid my money and just received my reg code. Thanks for the help.

Same question here. I actually have the trial version running from my flash drive. Is that officially supported? If not, am I likely to see any problem re: data corruption?

Ah. Then I just choose File->Protect and select a password. And to unprotect I choose File->Protect and clear the Encrypt Data checkbox. Excellent. Thank you.

Questions and a suggestion regarding encryption

I've been evaluating Maple Pro for the past week or so and have been very impressed. The only complaint I have is with the encryption module. Since my job involves working with sensitive customer information, secure, easy encryption is one of my requirements. The implementation in Maple is a little ...
