General Issues

There are functional differences between the trial and licensed versions of our products.

The difference is the registration reminders, displayed by the trial versions at the startup. Also some advanced features are disabled in trial versions.

To suppress the registration reminder screens and enable advanced features, you must enter into the trial version your registration key. We provide you with your registration key after you have purchased a license for continued use.

Yes, you may give evaluation copies of our programs to your friends and associates. However, you may NOT share the registration key(s), if any, with anybody else. Please remember that the registration codes we provide you with are for your own use only. If your friends like our programs, please let them purchase their own registration keys. To avoid possible confusion, please give out the original zip files you may download from this site.

There are several other simple, but important conditions which we impose on further redistribution of our programs. Unless you have obtained a written permission from us to do otherwise, you must:

  • Include ALL of the UNMODIFIED original files of the evaluation version.
  • Inform the user that the evaluation copies are for the evaluation purposes ONLY.
  • Not charge for the evaluation copies.
  • Once again, please don't share the registration keys.

Yes. Our software is fully compatible with Windows 11 and Windows Server.

Yes, our software works under 64-bit operating systems.

Support for Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me and NT4 is officially discontinued. Support for Windows XP may be limited. If you need a version that supports legacy Windows platforms, please contact us.

Product Purchasing

No. When you purchase a software from us, you will get a LIFETIME license to the current version and free upgrades for one year. The registered version of the software has no expiration date.

All registrations use SECURE protocols. It is impossible for a third party to intercept your credit card information. We use the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol for secure online commerce transactions.

We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, UK Maestro/Solo, and Discover). The credit card information may be submitted online (via a secure server), by mail, phone or fax.

Yes, you can. We also accept checks, purchase orders, PayPal, Giropay, iDEAL, Nordea Solo, SBX, and direct bank (wire) transfers. Please contact us for more information about the payment options.

This means that when sending your credit card information via the Internet, your Web browser will encrypt it first, and then send it to the processing server in the encrypted form, so that your credit card information cannot be read as it travels over the Internet.

Because the credit card processor requires to collect this information in order to validate the credit card number you are submitting. In a regular shop, when the credit card is physically present during the transaction, the clerk can examine the card and your signature on it, but in the online shops only your credit card number is available, and the only way to verify it is to compare your billing address that you have entered with the address on record with the bank that issued your card.

Licensing and Upgrades

Our productivity software (Maple, NotePro, Clip Plus, and DayMate) is licensing on a per-user basis. This means that you may install and use one copy of the software product on up to two computers for sole use, provided only one computer is in use at any given time. This includes home and work, or a laptop and desktop.

Our security software (WinLock, WinLock Professional) is licensing on a per-computer basis. One license is required for each computer where software is installed. In case of diskless clients, one license per node is required.

WinLock Remote Administrator is licensing on per-endpoint basis. For example, 25 endpoint license means that you can use Remote Administrator to access up to 25 clients.

No. A single-user license is always issued to the user's name.

When you purchase a software license from us, you receive a LIFETIME license to the current official version of the product. Also, we provide free upgrades to the updated versions of the same product that we may release within one year from the date of your purchase. For example, if you have purchased your license in March 2019, you may use your license key for all updated versions of the same product that we may release during the next year, up to March 2020 (both minor and major upgrades are covered by this offer). In other words, within one year after the purchase you get all upgrades to the product free of any charges. Simply download the setup file with the latest version, install it, enter your existing license key into it, and that's all.

If your one year of free upgrades has already expired, you can purchase the updated version at a discount: visit our online upgrade center and enter your existing licensing details into the form.

Of course, you don't have to upgrade if you don't want to: you may continue using the version that you have purchased for as long as you like, if it works for you well enough, without paying any additional fees.

Unlike subscription plans, you decide when you want to upgrade, and when you want to purchase upgrades. And, you will continue to receive support as long as you use the product.

We are not happy if you are not happy with our software, so we offer 30-day money-back guarantee on every software license, except as listed below. There is one obvious condition: you must remove the software from your computer. We may ask you to send us a signed Letter of Intellectual Property Destruction in order to issue the refund.

The shipping charges, if any, are not refundable.

Licenses for more than 5 users or computers are not refundable: please feel free to try out the evaluation copies of our software before purchasing such a license.

If you have made us an offer to purchase a product at a reduced price and we have accepted your offer, such order is not refundable: if you want to be eligible for the money-back guarantee, please purchase the product at its full price.

Finally, if you have requested a refund, and then purchased that or any other product from us again, the second purchase is not refundable. Again, please try out the evaluation copies of our software before purchasing a license for the second time.

We provide full support for the latest major version of the product, including all minor versions within the same major release. For earlier versions, we provide maintenance support only. Customers are encouraged to update to the latest available build to ensure they have the most stable version of the product.

Normally, the e-mail message with the license key is delivered within 48 hours. If you did not receive the message, check your spam or junk e-mail folders in case it was moved automatically there by mistake. If you still cannot locate the message with your key or if you have entered a wrong e-mail address, please contact us.

Just visit our License Key Request Form. Your key will be emailed to the address we have on file.

If you have purchased from us in the past, you can buy a license for a newer version of the same product at a discount. Or, if you are within the one year of free upgrades period, you can upgrade to the newer version without paying anything! To upgrade, simply visit our upgrade center and enter your license information for the product that you have purchased. You will be presented with the upgrade options available to you. And remember, when you purchase an upgrade, you get a new full year of free upgrades with it, too.

The upgrade to Professional edition of WinLock is available within one year after purchase. If you own the active WinLock license and wish to upgrade to Professional, please contact us.

Download and Install

  1. Click on the download link of the product you are interested in to begin the download. Your web browser may display a generic warning about downloading the files from the Internet, you may safely ignore that message (we do check for computer viruses in our files with the latest antivirus software, before making them available for download).

  2. If prompted to open or save the file, choose save, and select a folder on your hard disk (such as "My Downloads", or any other folder where you usually keep the files you are downloading from the Internet). Take a note of the folder in which you have chosen to save the file, you will need it to run the installation file.

Yes. Our downloads are 100% free of viruses, spyware, adware or malware of any kind. All executables are signed and certified.

  1. After the download is complete, choose Start - Run from the Windows taskbar, and click on Browse to locate the file you have just downloaded (such as winlock.exe), and run the file to begin the installation.

  2. If you downloaded zip archive from our site, unzip it to any separate folder and run setup.exe file.

  3. During the installation you will be prompted to choose the folder in which to install the software.

  4. That's it, the program is ready for use or evaluation! To run the program simply choose one of the shortcuts created by the installation program for you (such as Start ➞ All Programs ➞ WinLock).

We offer free delivery of the license key(s) by e-mail. That is, after your order has been processed, we are sending you your license key by e-mail, you are downloading an evaluation version of the software from our website, and entering your license key into it, that's all.

We provide for download the latest versions of our software only. When we release an updated version, we remove the older version from the download area, so the installation file with the version that you have purchased may not be available for download in the future. The older versions are available for the licensed customers only.
